Overview
Standing 328 metres above the city, Sky Tower is the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere. The observation decks offer sweeping views across Auckland's harbours, islands and volcanic cones, and on a clear day you can see as far as Rangitoto Island and the Hauraki Gulf.
It's also home to two of Auckland's most talked-about thrill experiences — the SkyWalk and SkyJump — plus a revolving restaurant for those who'd rather take in the view sitting down.
Things To Do
- Main Observation Deck — glass floor panels and 220° views at 186m.
- SkyWalk — a guided walk around the tower's outer edge, no railings, harnessed the whole way.
- SkyJump — a 192m wire-controlled base jump straight down the side of the tower.
- Sky Deck — the highest public viewing deck in the Southern Hemisphere, at 220m.
- Orbit 360° Dining — a revolving restaurant that completes a full rotation every hour.
